** St, Stephens Day Charity Event ***

We plan on continuing the traditional St. Stephen’s Day charity game but in a different format this
year while at the same time engaging a broader spectrum of members in participation. The goal of the day is twofold:
1. To raise money for local charities
2. To enjoy some exercise and a small bit of Covid compliant craic for members of the respective clubs.

We along with the following clubs are participating:
Kill GFC, Naas RFC, Two Mile House GFC and Naas GFC.
The outline of the programme of our events for St Stephens Day is as follows:

Venue Eadestown GFC grounds

10AM to 11:45AM: Open to all club members not associated with the men and women’s Senior Sections of the club to walk or run off the turkey and any over indulgences from Christmas Day. There will be a collection at the gate of €10. We will have in place a money collection steward, a member to track overall kilometres covered by members and a Covid Officer for general governance of this time slot.

12:00 to 14:00PM: Open to all senior men members, mentors, management etc. There will be a collection at the gate of €10. We will have in place a money collection steward, a member to track overall kilometres covered by members and a Coved Officer for general governance of this time slot.

14:00PM to 16:00PM: Open to all senior women members, mentors, management etc. There will be a collection at the gate of €10. We will have in place a money collection steward, a member to track overall kilometres covered by members and a Covid Officer forgeneral governance of this time slot.

Clubs will endeavour to complete relevant route planning for each slot to ensure the safe and social distancing of members.

The overall club winner will be picked at the end of the day with scoring from the following categories:

1. Most club members participation: Measure: number of monies raised by each club

2. Quickest marathon complete: Measure: marathon time of teams

3. Kilometres Covered by each section: Measure total kilometres covered by the different section 10AM to 11:45AM, 12:00 to 14:00PM, 14:00PM to 16:00PM totalled for each club

4. Santa Clause Rule: Measure of the number of Santa Clauses participating in each club on the day. Photo evidence required.

5. Best club social media campaign for engaging and showcasing involvement of this event leading up to and including on the day.

6. Max scoring is 50 with 10 the max scoring for each of the 5 sections as listed 1 to 5 above.
