Eadestown march on to Feile Final

Boys Feile C Semi-Final
Monday 22nd April
Eadestown 5-9
Twomilehouse 5-6

Our U14 team stayed on course to retain the Feile C title with a hard fought win over a brave TMH side on Monday night. Starting as warms favorites after topping our group unbeaten, we slowly built up a nice lead of 2-4 to 0-1, with some excellent score taking from Patrick Foley, Charlie Carroll & CJ Boran. In a crucial 10 minute period we hit the cross bar 3 times, and this came back to haunt us as TMH responded well at the close of the half to finish just one point behind.

We pressed forward in the early parts of the second half and built up a 5 point lead before again leaking some soft scores and putting ourselves back in trouble. Unbelievably, despite being the better side, we trailed by 3 points with 3 minutes left. Then, a crucial intervention by Ardin Magee, who was terrific all evening at centre back, saw Calum Murphy put Adam Delaney into space 30 metres out.  With only one thing on his mind he left a trail of TMH defenders behind him before smashing the equalizing score into the roof of the net. 3 quick points followed, one a monster free from 45 meters out by Jack Dennis who was completely dominant at full forward all evening, before the final whistle was greeted with both joy and relief.

Jack Morrin, Liam Brannelly, Andrew Curran and James Bedford worked tirelessly all over the park for the cause, while goalie Hughie Doyle and defenders Paul Gavin, Oisin Dillon & Robert Molloy kept things tight at the back.  Subs Calum Murphy, Aaron Grainger & Tom Boran all made telling contributions when asked in a very tense last 15 minutes.

Balyna await in the final on w/e 18th & 19th May.
